Obituary for Francis A. "Skippy" Bushta

Francis A. “Skippy” Bushta of Archbald died Wednesday March 15, 2017 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lillian Dubee who died on May 1, 2011.

Born in Jessup he was the son of the late Michael and Ann Bushta. A graduate of Jessup High School, prior to his retirement he was employed by Conrail as a train conductor.
Francis was a member of American Legion Michael Steiner Post #411 and Holy Ghost Byzantine Church.

Surviving are his four children, Laurie Kelly, Archbald; Nancy Kotcho and husband, Joseph, Jermyn; Dr. John F. Bushta and wife, Colleen, Archbald; and Julie Kissell and husband, David, Eynon; 13 grandchildren, Jimmy and fiancé Dairlyn Ortiz, Abby and Katie Kelly; Katrina, Emily, Camille, Victoria and Luke Kotcho; Kylee, Cory and Carson Bushta; and Max and Hunter Kissell; great-grandchild Madeline Brink; several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dr. Patrick J. Kelly; brothers Joseph, Michael, George Bushta

The funeral will be Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Office of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, First Avenue, Interment with Military Honors to follow in the parish cemetery, Jessup.

Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Parastas service will be held at 4:00 p.m.
