Obituary for Sheila Ceccarelli

Sheila Ceccarelli
Sheila A. Ceccarelli of Jessup died Tuesday May 23, 2017 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Quinto Ceccarelli and Anna Sciarretta Ceccarelli. A graduate of Valley View High School and the University of Scranton, she was employed for many years as the office manager for Dr. Richard Weinberger.
She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt who was greatly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her. Her niece Sara and grandniece Anna were the light of her life.
Sheila was kind, loving, and giving, always thinking of, and doing for others. She approached everything with intelligence, compassion, and a sense of humor. She loved people, friends, music, political discussion, but mostly, she was devoted to her family.
Sheila was an animal lover, and a member of the Defenders of the Wildlife and World Wildlife Federation, working to save endangered wolves.
Surviving are sisters Valerie Ceccarelli, and Carol Hlavaty and husband Joseph, all of Jessup; niece Sara Ceccarelli; great niece Anna Ceccarelli, Blakely; Ron Evans, Jessup; aunts and cousins.
The funeral will be conducted Friday from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. in Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 429 Church St., Archbald. Everyone attending the funeral is asked to proceed directly to church.
Entombment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montdale.
