Alice Schneider Dougherty, 89, of Jessup, formerly of South Scranton died Sunday July 2, 2017 at the Allied Skilled Nursing Center. She was the widow of William F. “Doc” Dougherty who died in 1995.
Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Gustave G. and Alice Courtright Schneider.
Alice’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wayne Weston and to the entire staff at Allied Skilled Nursing and Hospice for all of their compassionate care.
Surviving are sons William F. Dougherty and fiancée Janice, Clarks Summit and James M. Dougherty and wife Tami, Eynon; grandchildren Kristen and James Dougherty; 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
She was preceded in death by brother Gustave G. Schneider and his wife Shirley.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home 1003 Church St. Jessup. Interment to follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
