Mafalda Scarinci of Jessup died Tuesday August 15, 2017 at the Mid-Valley Healthcare Center following a brief illness.
Born in Eynon she was the daughter of the late Paul and Romana Staficci Scarinci. A graduate of Jessup High School she was a seamstress and worked together with her brother at Menotti’s Taylor Shop.
She was active with the Mid-Valley Senior Center; was a member of St. Mary’s Church until it’s closing and currently a member of Queen of Angel’s Parish.
Mafalda’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at the Mid-Valley Healthcare Center for all of their years of compassionate care.
Surviving are nieces Diane Fontana and husband John, Olyphant and Doreen Tuffy and husband Jerry, Archbald; great niece Jessica Regan and husband Joe, great nephews Brad Tuffy and Kevin Tuffy and wife Caitlin; great-great nephews Lukus, Chase, and Cameron Regan.
She was preceded in death by brother Menotti Scarinci; sister Josephine Moretti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at Queen of Angels Parish in St. Michael's Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment, St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Eynon. Friends and family may call Saturday in the church from 9:00 am until 9:45 am. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Arhur A. Albini Funeral Home 1003 Church St., Jessup.
