Obituary for Bertha Vicki

Bertha Vicki, 93, of Jessup passed away peacefully Monday at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania. Her husband was the late Michael Vicki who died on May 28, 1986.
Born in Port Blanchard, PA on November 15, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Sziegeda Barick. Bertha was a member Chrust the King Parish in Archbald, and was a graduate of Jessup High School. She was an only child having lost her mother at only 18 months old and was raised in her early years by her grandmother. She turned out to be an exceptional mother and person.
She was a great cook and baker who after retiring in 1986 from Sandvik Steel, enjoyed walking, reading, and loved belonging to the T.O.P.S. Club in Archbald for many years.
Bertha’s family would like to thank the 5th floor staff and nurses and aides for their care, kindness, and love and to Compassionate Care Hospice in the final weeks for their added care and love. Also to Christ the Kings Father Christopher Sahd, Bishop John Dougherty, and Deacon Ed Kelly for their many visits while our mom was homebound, in the hospital, and in the Jewish Home.
Surviving are a daughter Mary Ann Tini and husband Chuck, sons Danny and wife Marilyn, and Michael and wife Ann Marie; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren whom she adored.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 8:30 A.M. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. in Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 429 Church St., Archbald. Interment St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Archbald. Friends and family may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Parish 429 Church St., Archbald, PA 18403 or to donor’s favorite charity.
