Evelyn Lorraine Wallace of Blakely died October 4, 2017 at home following a brief illness.
Born in Mayfield, she was the daughter of the late William V. and Mildred Zedlewski Laskowski. A graduate of Lakeland High School, Class of 1962, prior to her retirement she was employed by Arlington Industries. She always volunteered for the Genealogical Research Society of Peckville and the Mid-Valley Senior Center in Jessup.
Evelyn was loved by all who met her, she had a personality that shined in every way imaginable. She was someone you can always count on. She loved helping others in anyway she could whether it would be sewing, transportation or just an ear to listen, she was always there. She loved to sing especially with her sisters. She loved her morning chats on the phone with her sister,nephew and daughter and her morning coffee with her Son and daughter-n-law and she loved her church and church friends. Her grandchildren were her most precious gifts. She loved feeding,playing and doting on her grandson, and cherished every moment. Evelyn was a beautiful,giving and loving friend,sister,aunt, grandmother and mother. She is truly going to be missed.

Surviving are a daughter Debora Wallace and fiancé John Newman, Clarks Summit; son John A. Wallace and wife Stacy, Blakely; grandson Ryan Joseph Wallace; step-grandchildren Alyssa and Emma; sisters Leona Warren, Pittsburgh and Julie Rinaldi, Carbondale.
She was preceded in death by siblings Helen, Theresa, Chester, John, Stella, Jean Gladys, and Walter.
The funeral will be conducted on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St. Jessup, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish 1101 Willow St., Peckville. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends and family may call Monday from 5 – 7 p.m.
