Santa T. Bernardi of Jessup died Sunday January 14, 2018 surrounded by her family at the home of her son following a brief illness. She was the widow of Anthony R. Bernardi who died on April 17, 2016.
Born in Jessup she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Rena Santarelli Saltapari. A graduate of Jessup High School, prior to her retirement she was the co-owner of King Shoes in downtown Scranton.
Santa loved to cook and was an avid world traveler. She was a very generous person with her time and resources having earned multiple certificates of honor with the Heart and Diabetes Associations. But her biggest hobby was taking care of her family and spending time with them. She loved to sit with her sisters in the gazebo during the summertime.

Surviving are a daughter Cindy Wilson and husband Leonard, Mayfield; son Gary and wife Diane, Peckville; granddaughters Ali Scully and husband Ryan, New York City, and Nicole Bernardi and good friend Matt, Philadelphia; sisters Lucille Camoni, Jessup and Rose Fanucci and husband Eugene “Jeep”, Jessup; niece Denise Allan and husband James.
She was preceded in death by brother-in-law Henry “Hank” Camoni.

The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 9:30 A.M. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Queen of Angels Parish in St. Michael's Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup. Friends and family may pay their respects Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
