Obituary for Richard R. "Cheech" Cicci

Richard R Cicci, known by “Cheech” to friends and coworkers, of Jessup died unexpectedly Tuesday March 20, 2018 at Geisinger Community Medical Center.
Born February 1st 1950 in Peckville, he was the son of the late Ugolino and Theresa “Lil” Angeloni Cicci. A graduate of Jessup High School Class of 1967, he was employed by MetLife as a mailroom manager and shift supervisor prior to retirement. He was a member of the St. Ubaldo Society, Family of St. George, and a social member of American Legion Post #411 Michael Steiner.
Rich had a passion for the classic cars of his youth as well as the music of that generation; Doo-wop, Rock n’ Roll, Rhythm and Blues, and generally what’s now considered to be “the oldies.” While not a traditional sports fan, he had a lifelong love for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Though stoic with a hard exterior at times, his sense of humor always shone through when it was needed most. He was a loving husband, father, and friend who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Diane Wlostowski Cicci, Jessup; his son Richard, Jessup; daughters Alison, Jessup, and Tressa, Kutztown University; sister-in-law JoAnne Wilson and husband Arthur, Jermyn; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rich’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the emergency responders and the nurses and staff of the Geisinger CMC ER Department.
The funeral will be conducted Monday at 9 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish, 624 Madison Ave., Jermyn. Interment St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup. Friends and family may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
