Joseph R. "Boss"  Lednovich  Jr.
Joseph “Boss” Robert Lednovich Jr., 80, died Wednesday August 1st at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He and wife Betty Lednovich, of Peckville, were married for 56 years.

Born in Peckville, Joe was the son of the late Marie (Sleboda) and Joseph Lednovich. He was the graduate of Blakely High School/Johnson School of Technology. Joe worked as a professional land surveyor for which he owned his own business.

Joe was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching Penn State and the Phillies. He could not go a day without reading the Scranton Times and the New York Post. He was a lover of the polkas and enjoyed playing the accordion. Joe was a founding member of the Single Shot Sportsmen’s Club and a member of the National Guard.

Surviving are his wife Betty Lednovich and children Edward Lednovich and wife Luann, Jessup; Joan Guari and husband Albert, Archbald; Melissa Hope and husband Joseph, Garnet Valley, PA; and Demetria McGowan and husband John, Jermyn; and grandchildren Danielle and Nicole Guari, Lauren Lednovich, Caitlyn, Carly, and Caleigh Hope, and Rileigh, Connor, and Declan McGowan. Also surviving is his sister Elayne Cholish, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Angel Lednovich.

Friends are invited to have a drink in honor of Joe’s life Sunday, August 5th, from noon until 4 p.m. at the Italian-American Club, 101 N. Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home 1003 Church St. Jessup.
