Elizabeth Ann “Leanne” Lawson of Jessup died Thursday March 2, 2017 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit.
Born in Scranton she was the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Angerson Tallo. A graduate of Valley View High School, Class of 1989 and also Lackawanna Junior College. She proudly served in the United States Navy where she was stationed at the Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Elizabeth served as a plane captain and serviced the Navy’s Blue Angels fighter planes.
Leanne’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU Staff at the Regional Hospital of Scranton and the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart, and a very special thank you to Dr. Lisa Thomas for all of her love, help, and support during Leanne’s recent illness.
Also surviving are sisters Mindy Michele Tallo, Jessup and Jodi Lyn Tallo, Las Vegas, NV; boyfriend Michael Zaikowski; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents John and Elizabeth Angerson and paternal grandparents Matteo and Antoinette Tallo.
The funeral will be conducted Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at Queen of Angels Parish in St. Michael's Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Dr. Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202 and to Hospice of the Sacred Heart 600 Baltimore Dr. Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
