Antoinette “Toni” Fumanti of Jessup died Monday March 27, 2017 at the Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.
Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Enrico and Rose Ceccarelli. Educated in Jessup schools, prior to retirement she was employed in the local garment industry.
Toni was a woman of strong faith and was always devoted to St. Anthony and fasted every Tuesday in his honor. She was a social butterfly who loved putting on the Ritz. Her greatest claim to fame moment was meeting, speaking to, and being kissed by then Vice President Joe Biden at the Society of Irish Women St. Patrick’s Day Parade Dinner in 2015.
Surviving are a niece Rose Dick and husband Christopher, Jessup; several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 8:30 A.M. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at Queen of Angels Parish in St. Michael's Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup. Friends and family may call Tuesday (TODAY) from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M
