John Krenitsky of Philadelphia died Thursday November 30, 2017 at home. His wife of 66 years is the former Helen Borushak.
Born in Olyphant he was the son of the late Metro and Anna Sucheniak Krenitsky. Educated in Olyphant schools, prior to his retirement he was employed by SKF Ball Bearings.
Also surviving are daughters Lorraine Howe and husband Robert Churchville, Daria Mellor, Florida, and Jeanne Seklecki and husband Joseph, Newtown; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Jean Barkofsky, Tillie Albini, and Helen Brojack; brothers Peter Krenitsky and wife Gloria, William Krenitsky, and Myron Krenitsky and wife Barbara; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter Jeneed Howe; 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
The funeral will be Monday from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Funeral Devine Liturgy at Noon in SS. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 River St., Olyphant, to be celebrated by the Rev. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor. Interment, Parish cemetery, Peckville. Friends and family may pay their respects Monday morning from 10 – 11:30 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SS. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 River St., Olyphant, PA 18447.
