Obituary for Stephen G. Cucura

Stephen G. Cucura, 75, Jessup, died April 18, at his daughter’s home in Toms River, NJ surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 25 years, Marlys Cucura, who passed away in 2010.

Born and raised in Jessup, he was the son of the late Martin J. Sr. and Mary Konick Cucura. A graduate of Jessup High School, his high intelligence and work ethic provided him the opportunity for many adventures throughout his life. Prior to his retirement he worked for NASA, Specialty Records, and was a machinist for Beloit Manhattan.
Stephen was an avid Green Bay Packers and Boston Red Sox fan. He loved hunting, fishing, reading, and watching Jeopardy. He was a social member of The American Legion Post 327.
Stephen is survived by his daughter, Kencis Kleinschmidt and her husband Bob, Toms River, NJ; step-daughter, LaRae Seymour and her husband, Duane, Factoryville; brothers, Martin, Florida; David, Dickson City; and Robert, Jessup; and sisters, Jean Cucura, Jessup; Mary Ann Weary, Olyphant; and Nancy Roman, Dickson City; grandchildren, Duane, Nicole, Raymond, and Kjersten;great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, James "Jimbo" Kapp; brothers, Paul and George; and sister, Georgette Musko.
The funeral will be Friday in the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church Street, Jessup, with a Panachida Service at 11:30 A.M., followed by burial in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Jessup.
