Obituary for Helen Krenitsky

Helen Krenitsky, 91, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday at Chandler Rehab in Newtown. She was the widow of John Krenitsky, who died Nov. 30, 2017.
Born in Blakely on Fifth Street, daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Torhan Borushak, she was educated in Blakely public schools, and, after marriage, she moved to Philadelphia, where she resided for the past 66 years. She worked in several area banks and at the IRS as a tax examiner before her retirement.
Helen and her husband traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, including Russia and Ukraine, where they located relatives.
Surviving are daughters, Lorraine Howe and husband, Robert, Churchville; Daria Mellor, Orlando, Fla.; and Jeanne Seklecki and husband, Joseph, Newtown; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jeneen Howe; sisters, Mary Dudra and Julia Sakson; and brothers, Peter and William.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Divine Liturgy at 11 in SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 135 River St., Olyphant, to be celebrated by the Rev. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor. Interment, parish cemetery, Peckville.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
