Leonard “Scotty” Scott Jr. of Jessup died Wednesday July 11, 2018 at the Geisinger Community Medical Center. His wife of 61 years is the former Eleanor Rosetti.
Born in Jessup, he was the son of the late Leonard Sr. and Mary Mullaney Scott. A graduate of Jessup High School, he proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement he was employed by Trane Inc. He was a member of the VFW Post #5544, American Legion Post 411, and the Carbino Club. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
Also surviving are daughter Lynn Swift and husband Myles, Eynon; son Gary Scott and wife Sandra, Peckville; grandchildren Erin DeCastro and husband Philip, Casey Swift and fiancé Matthew Zeiders, Jessica and Samantha Scott; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters Bessie Walsh and Helen Borick; brothers Gerald, Thomas, and John Scott.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday in the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home 1003 Church St., Jessup at 9:00 am. with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Queen of Angels Parish in St. Michael's Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment with Military Honors to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects Sunday from 3-6 pm.
