Margaret H. "Peg" Paone of Peckville passed away peacefully on Friday November 30, 2018 at home. She was the widow of John J. "Jack" Paone, who passed away in 2015.
The daughter of Hubert and Susan Egan Moran, she was raised in Archbald and graduated
from St. Rose High School, Carbondale. A graduate of Joseph's Hospital School of
Nursing, Peg spent the majority of her nursing career employed by The Sisters of the
IHM at Marian Convent.
A devoted Catholic, she was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Peckville.
Surviving are four children, Molly, Beth, Ellen and husband Koye Wilson, and Jon and wife,
Jeneen Campbell Paone. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Marissa, Tyler,
Jenna, Owen, and Paige and great-grandchildren Johnathan, Gavin, Kaleb, Kameron, and
Lianna.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Marie McCloskey, Betty Scott, and Susan
Jones.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 1101 Willow Street Peckville. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 10:30 am until Mass time. Interment in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Archbald will be private.
