Louise (Popiwchak) Marciano passed away July 17, 2020 in Ft Myers, FL. After 8 ½ long years, she has been rejoined in heaven with her husband, Guy Marciano, who passed away in 2012.

Born in 1933 in Jessup, PA, to the late Susan (Kundrat) Popiwchak and Stephen Popiwchak, Sr, she was a 1950 graduate of Olyphant High School. She was a Yeoman 1st Class of the WAVES in the US Naval Reserves from 1955-63.
She was employed by Barbizon in Jessup for 24 years.
In 1974, she married the love of her life and moved to Ft Myers. In 1975, their daughter, Josephine (Jodi) Marciano was born, and now resides in New Cumberland, PA.
Her first job in Florida was at the Shell Factory and then became a teacher’s assistant at Heights Elementary for 14 years where she retired.
She became Baba in 2014 when her only grandchild was born, Lila Reid, who was the light of her life. Lila resides with her mother and father in New Cumberland.
She was known as the strongest, nicest and kindest person to anyone that had met her. She loved her country music and shopping.
Also surviving are a brother, Stephen Popiwchak, Jr of Peckville, PA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Banicky and an infant brother, Leonard Popiwchak.
Funeral Services will be held Friday with Divine Liturgy at 10 am in Holy Ghost Byzantine Church 313 1st Ave. Jessup. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton, immediately following the liturgy. Attendees for the services are kindly asked to adhere to CDC social distancing guidelines and face masks are required. There will be no public calling hours.
