Obituary for Anna Costelnick
Anna Costelnick, 105, formerly of Jessup died January 18, 2021 at the Lackawanna Health & Rehabilitation Center where she was a resident. She was the widow of Stephen Costelnick who died on October 20, 1991.
Born in Jessup she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Balog Bzdick.
Anna was a member of Queen of Angels Parish, Jessup and was employed by Barbizon of Jessup in her early years.at
Anna’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Lackawanna Health & Rehabilitation Center and to Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the wonderful care and compassion she received.
Surviving are daughter Marianne Boos, Carbondale; 2 grandchildren Mark Boos, Jessup and Joseph Rebar, Olyphant; 3 great-grandchildren Kyle Rebar, California, Mark Boos Jr., Jessup, and Victoria Boos, Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son Stephen; sisters Irene Ploshonka, Veronica Derossi, Mary Warholak, Elizabeth Denaro; brother Michael Bzdick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 am in Queen of Angels Parish in St. Michael's Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced and masks will be required. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup.
