Jerome P. Tuffy, 74, of Archbald died Monday March 29, 2021 at the Allied Service Hospice Center following a 14 month battle with multiple myeloma. His wife of 43 years is the former Doreen Moretti.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late James and Ann Flynn Tuffy. A graduate of Scranton Technical High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and served overseas in Vietnam during the conflict. Prior to retirement he was employed by Tom Hesser Chevrolet and donated his time serving as the Secretary of the Jessup Lions Club. Post retirement he worked in the Valley View School District.
Also surviving are sons Bradley Tuffy, and Kevin Tuffy and wife Kaitlin;
siblings, Ann Chester, James Tuffy and wife Deborah, twin brother Thomas; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brother-in-law Kenneth Chester.
Private graveside services with Military Honors will be held privately in St. Francis Cemetery, Eynon. Memorials in Jerome’s memory may be made to the Allied Services Foundation, 100 Abington Executive Park, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
