Obituary for Hubert "Snowball" Robert Santarelli
Hubert “Snowball” Robert Santarelli of Archbald died Monday April 12, 2021 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife of 39 years is the former Maureen McAndrew.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Michael and Jane Bowler Santarelli. He attended Jessup High School. Prior to his illness, he was employed by Billing Shoes Company, Falcon Oil, and most recently as a bus driver for COLTS.
Robert loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He idolized his daughter, she meant the world to him and loved spending time with her.
Also surviving are daughter Jennifer Baum and husband David, Peckville; brother William Santarelli; sisters Jane Ann Casey and husband Marty, Lucille Strasburger and husband Danny, and
Kathy Judge; sister-in-law Karen Durso and husband Stephen and Mary Ellen Hosie; several nieces nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by brother Michael Santarelli; brother-in-law David Hosie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 411 Church St., Archbald. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced and masks will be required. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation, Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st St., Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.
