Judith "Judie" A. Owens Keiper passed away unexpectedly in her Peckville home on March 17 at the age of 60. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Richard T. Keiper, on June 29, 2016.
Born June 8, 1957, she was the daughter of Robert D. Owens, Greenfield Twp., and the late Edna Fabrica Owens. A graduate of Scranton Central High School, class of 1975, she went on to earn a registered nurse degree from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Scranton.
Before retirement, she worked as registered nurse throughout the Northeast Pa. area.
Judie enjoyed reading, caring for her dogs, who were like family, doing puzzles and watching her favorite television shows. Judie had a wonderful sense of humor and was always a true friend. She will be missed tremendously by her family, friends and her neighbors.
Judie is also survived by her sister, Suzanne Cordaro, Scranton; brothers, Gary Owens, Florida; and Robert Owens, Scranton; nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins.
Funeral services and interment in Union Cemetery, Peckville, will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted and are under the care of the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup.
