Condolence: Claire Giombetti was a truly wonderful, talented and beautiful person. We lived near Marywood College and had a baby grand piano. I remember Claire visiting our home and playing Malaguena, the first classical music that I could remember hearing. On return visits, I always asked her to play that piece again.
My mother felt that because we were related to the Cossas, that I should have some musical talent. She arranged for me to have 4 years of Saturday lessons with Claire, who kindly and graciously put up with me and my lack of talent, fed me, encouraged me and never gave up on me - all to no avail. I apologize for wasting her time. Claire and all her siblings have contributed so much to the world of music by their talents and the talents of their children.
